Karl Spain
Karl Spain was born and still lives in Limerick, but he has travelled in between. He burst onto the scene in 2000 as winner of the R.T.E. New Comedian Award and went on to make a name for himself on the hit TV Show "Karl Spain Wants A Woman". This was a huge success in that he not only got huge ratings but he also found himself a woman. He has written and appeared in his own short films also including "Sorted", "The fists of Finbar Furey", "Footbridge", "Hero", "Plane Tales". "Hero" and "Plane Tales" both won Bank of Ireland Video Awards.
